Bonnie Snyder

Bonnie Snyder, 65, of Springville, TN, formerly of Danville, passed away at 6:00am, Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. On March 18, 1951, Bonnie was born in Danville, IL, the daughter of Dwight Snyder and Mary {Setser} Wyer. Bonnie worked at R&S Printing in Danville and Tervis Company in Florida before retiring. She was a proud Veteran of the US Army where she also played in the Military Band. She played on the W.A.C. Basketball Team in Aberdeen, MD. Bonnie was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and of Elvis Presley. She enjoyed going fishing and hunting wild boars. Bonnie also collected movies and enjoyed photography. She loved spending time with her family and adored her nieces & nephews. She will be remembered dearly by all whose lives she touched. She leaves behind: her brothers, Eldon (Jerry Schrader) Snyder of Danville & Larry (Paula) Wyer of Venice, FL; her sisters, Cindy (Mick) Ross of Danville & Brenda (Tim) Drown of Nokomis, FL; her half-brothers, Joe Snyder, Jim Snyder, & John Snyder; her special niece, Ali (Chris) Powell of Murray, KY, and their son, Levi, whom Bonnie considered as a grandson; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, & great nephews. She was preceded in death by: her mother, Mary Wyer; her "dad", Mike Wyer; her nephew, Timmy Drown; and her paternal & maternal grandparents. A celebration of Bonnie's life will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, November 7, 2016, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S State St, Westville, IL, with Pastor Jim Blue officiating. She will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery, Danville. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, November 4, 2016, at the funeral home from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. As per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Memorial donations may be given in her name to the American Cancer Society, Champaign.
