Bonnie J. Pennington

Bonnie J. Pennington, 85, of Westville, passed away at 8:12pm, Sunday, April 9, 2017, at her home. She was born on December 29, 1931, in Elwood, Indiana, the daughter of Orphea and Erma {Rupert} Mead, both deceased. She was first married to William Jack until his death in 1958. She was later married to Ezra Pennington until his passing in 2009. She will be missed by: her son, Ezra "Phillip" Pennington Jr of Westville; her daughters, Theresa Jack of LaPorte, IN, Shirley (Larry) Wells of Westville, Jacqueline "Jackie" Pennington of Eureka, CA, Pam "Ray" Cox of Westfield, IN, & Andrea (Leland) Sprouls of Cayuga, IN; her eleven grandchildren; and her thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her children, William Jack Jr and Michelle Jack; and her three brothers; and her six sisters. Bonnie retired from Owens Kimball Glass in Chicago Heights. She also worked for Hardee's in Georgetown making biscuits. She loved shopping and very fond of chocolate. Sitting around the fire and visiting was special to her. She enjoyed playing Skip-Bo every night, watching old movies, and playing with small dogs & cats. Above all else, Bonnie cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A private family service was held. Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S. State St., Westville, assisted her family with arrangements.
