Bobette Louise Compton

Bobette Louise Compton, 75, of Danville, passed away at 2:25am on Tuesday November 19, 2019. She was born on September 2, 1944 the daughter of Robert and Ruby (Smith) Baumgart. Bobette was previously married to Larry Allen Mitchell and from this union they had one daughter, Amy. Later on May 21, 1983 she married Melvin Ray Compton and they spent 31 years together before his passing in November of 2014.

Bobette is survived by her daughter, Amy (Mitchell) Lamb of Danville; granddaughter, Cora Jane Lamb; sister, Mary (Baumgart) Cottle; sisters-in-law, Susie Baumgart and Rhonda Baumgart.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Martin Ray Compton; brothers, James Baumgart and Paul Baumgart.

Bobette graduated from Danville High School class of 1962. She worked as a finance manager for 25 years at several companies before devoting her time to caring for her family. In her spare time Bobette enjoyed playing euchre and spending time with her beloved granddaughter Cora.

A memorial celebration of Bobettes life will take place at 5pm Friday November 22, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834.
