Bobby Gene Shuman, 47, of Covington, passed away at his residence, on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at 7:05 a.m. Bobby was born December 13, 1959 in Danville, Illinois, the son of William and Helen (McKinney) Shuman. He was a graduate of Covington High. On March 31, 2006, Bobby married Christine Trahan. She survives. Also surviving are his six step-children; Garold and Lisa Lowery, Nicole(Devin) Funk, Jessica, Zach and Alexis Wrightsman, his three brothers; Bill (Barb) Shuman of Killeen, Texas, Jerry (Mary) Shuman of Covington, IN and Tony (Linda) Shuman of Wallace, IN, his sisters; Judy Gayler of Danville, IL, Sharon (David) Lappin of Covington, IN and Deb (Scott) Allen of Covington, IN, his seven step-grandchildren, and many special friends, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both his parents. Bobby worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for the union. He was a proud member of Union Local #841. Bobby loved the outdoors and especially fishing. Memorial may be made in Bobbys name to the Provena United Samaritans Cancer Center in Danville, IL. A celebration of Bobbys life will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. EST at Sunsets Covington Chapel. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2007, from 10:00 a.m. EST until 1:00 p.m. EST at the funeral home. Final resting place will be will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.
