Danville - Bobby Pierce, 82, of Danville passed away on April 26, 2017 in Marysville, Kansas. He was born on April 29, 1935, the son of LU and Willie Ola Pierce. On August 23, 1964, he married his wife of 53 years, Diana Creviston, she survives. Bobby will be dearly missed by his sons, Robert (Lisa) Pierce, Michael (Dorrie) Pierce; daughters, Tina (Dave) Lindsley; brother, Louie (Joyce) Garrison; sister, Virginia (Dick) Thompson; grandchildren, Nick (Mindy), Chris (Melissa), Jessica, John (Amber), Eric, Shelby, Kenny (Kala); great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Owen, Grace Lynn, Colin, Landon, Mattie, Breadon and Riley. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Eva Nell Pierce. Bob loved going fishing, camping and sitting around the campfire. He enjoyed rooting for the Cardinals and was also an Illini fan. Bob spent his retirement driving a Pilot car across the country, he was a member of the Catlin Masonic Lodge, receiving his 50-year pin last year he also served in the US Army reserves. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Bob's name to the American Heart Association and American Diabetes Association. Visitation Monday May 1, 2017 from 4-7 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 North Vermilion Street, Danville, IL 61834. Service will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.
