Bobby Joe "Bob" Pasquale, 71, of Danville, passed away at 12:00pm on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at the Vermilion Manor Nursing Home in Danville. He was born on March 31, 1940, in Danville, the son of Joseph and Ernestine (Fegett) Pasquale. On December 9, 1961, Bob married Joyce Christine Thornsbrough at the Calvary Baptist Church in Danville. She survives along with their two children; Jenise Vollmer, and Kenneth Pasquale. Three grandsons; Lemuel Andrew Pasquale, as well as Jake and Issac, and two granddaughters; Adrian and Kari. His 4 brothers; Roy, Rick, Timothy, Jimmie, and five sisters; Patty, Lottie, Belle, Sandra, and Susie also survive him. His parents, and one sister; Shirley preceded Bob in death. Bob lived in the Douglas Park area, and went to the Douglas School District, until the family moved to the Grape Creek area. He worked as a farm hand during his teen years, as well as working at WareCo gas station. Bob later worked at Rhodes-Buford Furniture Store in Danville for 25 years, retiring in 1997. He was quite the fix-it man, as well as being mechanically inclined. Bob loved his 1960-1980 era of country music, and good home country cooking set well with him too. He enjoyed buying used items, and fixing them up for resale. A Celebration of Bob's Life has been scheduled for 10:00am on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, located at 3940 N. Vermilion Street in Danville with burial to follow at Johnson Cemetery. Paul Ziebert has been asked to officiate the service. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-8pm on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that all donations be made in Bob's name to the Crossroads Christian Church in Danville, and/or the donor's favorite charity.
