Bobby Gene Boland 73, of Westville, passed away at 5:35 am Friday March 11-2011 at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village in Chrisman. He was born on January 23, 1937 in Georgetown the son of Jessie and Dora Pyle Boland. Bob married Martha Delattre on June 24, 1966 in Westville, she will miss him dearly along with his two daughters; Dorene Boland of Westville and Nancy (Corbin) Foster of Danville, also a brother Leo Boland of Bourbonnais, and his sister Betty (Harry) McGowen of ST. Anne, a sister in law Florence Boland of Jackson, Mo, and a brother in law Kenny Horve of Forsyth and several nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Donald and Cleo Boland and a sister Margaret Horve. Bob graduated from Georgetown High School with the class of 1956; He retired from Tee-Pak in Danville after 33 years of service. He loved deer hunting and enjoyed making the best deer salami and sharing it with family and friends. Bob loved fishing every summer at Barkley Lake in Eddyville Kentucky, with his family. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan as well as the Illini. Bob also loved the familys pets; Sassy and Bailey As per his wishes Bob will be cremated under the direction of Sunsets on site crematory. A Memorial celebration of life service will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday March 15, 2011 at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, A Life Celebration Home in Westville. Pastor James Blue will officiate. Visitation for family and friends will be two hours prior to service at the funeral home.
