Blake Hawkins

Blake Hawkins, 70, of Alton, Illinois, formerly of Georgetown, passed away on August 28, 2024, at Alton Memorial Hospital. Blake was born September4, 1953, in Danville, Illinois, the son of Kenneth and Faustine (Blakeney) Hawkins. Blake married the love of his life Marla Bildilli, they have been blessed with 51 years of marriage.

Blake leaves behind his wife Marla Hawkins, daughter, Carlee Beth Hawkins (Brett Meyer), grandchildren; Anita Hawkins Meyer, and August Hawkins Meyer, Siblings; Donnell (Larry) Wolfe, Karen (Jim) Honnold, Kim Hawkins, Greg (Bobbee) Hawkins, and Karla (Kirk) Woodyard, sister-in-law; Barbee (Mike) Daulton, and Lonna Iles, brother-in-law Steve Coffing, and a bonus daughter Deana Keith.

Blake was preceded in death by his parents, and parents’ in-law, his son Blake Charles Hawkins, his sister Janeen Coffing.

Blake and his family owned and operated Giovanini’s Pizza in Georgetown for many years. Blake enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears, and the Chicago Cubs, on television. He loved playing golf with his brothers at his family’s favorite golf course, Wolf Creek. Blake coached both youth football and softball for many years of his life. He loved kids. Most of all Blake loved the time he spent with his family and his grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Friday September 6, 2024, noon – 2 pm at Georgetown Friends Church 301 South Main Street Georgetown, Illinois. Service will be held at the church at 2pm, with Pastor John Myers officiating. The burial will take place at Forest Park Cemetery.
