Blake Charles Hawkins

Blake Charles Hawkins, 40 of Georgetown, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 5:05 PM at his home, surrounded by his family. He had just celebrated turning the big 4-0 on January 20th. He is survived by his wife, Deana; parents, Blake K. and Marla (Bildilli) Hawkins of Georgetown; step-sons, Aaron and Anthony Keith; sister, Carlee Beth (Brett) Hawkins of Springfield; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and a group of friends so large the list would never end. Blake loved many people, and so many loved him. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Faustine Hawkins and Charles and Maryhelen Bildilli. Blake was a graduate of Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School and was one the best offensive tackles they had ever seen. He went on to play football at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO. Blake was a protector on and off the field to his friends and family. He married his wife, Deana, on August 6, 2010 at the Wengler Ranch in Olivet. They created so many wonderful memories together and she truly was his other half. Blake loved to cook and was a pit master on the barbeque. He worked for his family's restaurant, Giovanini's Pizza, and they used all his ideas for their recipes. He would donate his time and cooking skills to the Georgetown Friends Church to help them raise money for the kids there to go to camp. Blake loved his church and attending the Quaker Haven summer camp when he was younger. Blake was also an amazing singer. He loved to karaoke and could really run the crowd. He covered "The Doors" like no other. Blake's presence will truly be missed by all who knew him. Per his wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial of Blake's life will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Georgetown Friends Church, 301 S Main St, Georgetown. Pastor John Myers will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11-1 PM prior to services at the church. Memorials in his name can be made to Blake's family, and they will be used towards a memorial that will be determined at a later date.
