Blaine L. Red Nightlinger, 70, of Danville, passed away at 11:35 p.m. on Wednesday April 19, 2006 at his home. He was born on June 5, 1935 in Fairmount, IL the son of Orick and Mildred Winfield Nightlinger Sr. He married Carolyn Neibarger on June 25, 1961 in Danville, IL. She survives. Also surviving are his children; Kent Nightlinger of Mundelein, IL, Shellie (Dennis) Evans of Bossier, LA, and Wendy (Harold H) Michael of Hoopeston; one brother; Orick Corky (Delores) Nightlinger Jr. of Danville; three grandchildren, Luke Evans of Bossier, LA, and Aaron and Nathan Michael, both of Hoopeston; and several nieces and nephews including Sherry Taxi Driver Gettinger and Tracy Lynn. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Gary Wayne and Carl Nightlinger. Red graduated from Westville High School in 1956. He worked at Danville Metal Stamping. Red was an avid Cubs and Illini basketball fan. Red enjoyed socializing. A celebration of Reds life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday April 24, 2006 at Sunset Souths Westville Chapel. Officiating: Rev. James Blue. Burial: Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday April 23, 2006 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Carle Hospice.
