Billy Myrick

Billy Wayne Myrick, age 73, of Veedersburg, IN, died at 7:30 pm EST on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at his home in Veedersburg. He was born August, 3, 1933 in Fithian, IL the son of Lester and Ica (Byrd) Myrick. He married Betty Unverferth on December 17, 1955 at the Baptist Church in Fairmount, IL. She survives. Billy is also survived by his children: Brenda Dowers of Danville, Brad (Jean) Myrick of Covington, IN, Beth Strange of Danville; two brothers: Carl (Susan) Myrick of Syracuse, IN, Gayle (Charlotte) Myrick of Fairmount, IL; one sister: Barbara Biggerstaff of Catlin; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and his Sterling Christian Church family. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons: Bruce and Brian; and two sisters. Billy served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for over 30 years for Lotus Warehouse until his retirement in 1995. He loved doing wood work in Grandpas Hideaway and collecting stamps. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Billy was a member of the Sterling Christian Church and served on the church board until his sickness prevented him from keeping his seat.
