Billy Dean Richardson, Jr.

Bismarck Billy Dean Richardson, Jr, 58 of Bismarck, IL passed on Wednesday, February 5, 2020.

Bill was born on June 10, 1961 to Billy D. Richardson, Sr. and Ruth (Smith) Richardson in Danville. He married Brenda (Wilson) Richardson and together they raised five children.

Survivors include Bills father, Billy Dean Richardson, Sr, wife, Brenda Richardson, five children, Cassandra (Caleb) Booher, Christopher (Ashley) Wilson, Carrianne (Nick Harlin) Wilson, Emily (Zach Moore) Richardson and Mylee Richardson. He also has two sisters, Teresa Santos and Tina Bowers, two brothers, Steve Richardson and Scott Richardson as well as thirteen grandchildren, Destinee, Blake, Bailee, Hayden, Savannah, Olyvia, Eden, Kynnsleigh, Tiereny, Brantley, Oakley, Aleigha and Connor and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. All of whom will miss him terribly.

Bill is preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Richardson.

Bill graduated from BHHS in 1979, where he was an accomplished wrestler that honored his school with a trophy for 2nd place in the 1978 State Wrestling Finals. He went on to graduate from DeVry in Chicago. After meeting his wife, he resided in Danville and worked 18 years at Heatcraft Refrigeration, where he obtained his license as an Electrician. He then went on to work at Bunge and later worked at Arconic in Danville, IL. Bill was a Sensei in Jiu Jitsu, a member of the U.A.W. and was a helping hand to everyone around. He was well equipped with a smart alec comment or a good dad joke and never knew a stranger. Bill was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and loved spending time with his family. He was the greatest friend anyone could ask for, and the best father and grandfather around.

Bill was our hero through life and is our hero in death by being an organ donor through Gift Of Hope.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Pastor Paul Rebert will officiate. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 4:00 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
