Billie Pollitt

Billie Pollitt, 54, of Danville, went to be with the Lord peacefully at her home at 6:25 PM on September 1, 2013. She was born on February 28, 1959 in Danville, the daughter of Lee and Ellen (Boswell) Pilkington. She married Duane Pollitt on April 28, 1984 in Danville. He survies. Also surviving is her mother, Ellen (Boswell) Pilkington, husband, Duane Pollitt, one daughter, Jade Pollitt, three brothers, Mike (Darcia) Pilkington, Tom (Penny) Pilkington, and Jeff (Jimmy Williams) Pilkington all of Danville, four nephews, Zach, Jared (Michelle), A.J. Pilkington, Terry Pollitt and four nieces, Jennifer, Abby, Bethany Pilkington, Madison Pollitt and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father. Billie worked at Walgreens Accounting for 26 years in customer services then County Market the last three years. She enjoyed collecting Disney collectibles, she loved to garden, and read. She also loved spending time with family and friends and getting to see everyone at family gatherings. She also was a member of the Danville Assembly of God Church. A Celebration of Billies life will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville, on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 6:00 PM with Pastor Ramona Logan officiating. A visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM on Thursday prior to the service. Memorials can be made in Billies name to the American Melanoma Cancer Society.
