Cayuga, Ind. -- Bill W. Sanders, 65, of Cayuga, passed away at 4:37 p.m. EDT Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Union Hospital Clinton in Clinton, Indiana. He was born September 2, 1944 in Danville, Illinois the son of the late Betty Corey Sanders Nelson and Red Sanders. He married Connie Trosper on August 28, 1992 in Newport, Indiana. She survives. Other survivors include three sons, J.R.(Dana)Sanders of Cates, Indiana; Poke(Shelly)Sanders of Ohio; Donny(Penny)Sanders of Kingman, Indiana; one stepson, John(Heather)Thompson of Cayuga, Indiana; three step daughters, Peggy(Bryan)Burch, Anna(Rodney)Cheesman and Becky(Ryan)Stull all of Covington, Indiana; 18 grandchildren; one great grandson; three sisters, Tuti(Junior)Plunkett; Peach(Bob)Robinson and Helen(George)Plunkett; three brothers, Butch(Mary)Sanders; Jim(Wanda)Sanders and Joe(Brenda)Sanders. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Sue Sanders and one brother, Buck Sanders. Bill was currently employed at Corey Brothers Sawmill in Kingman, Indiana. He was a member of The Izaac Walton League of America in Clinton, Indiana. Bill enjoyed fishing, camping, taking care of his dogs, mowing with his riding lawnmower and tinkering with different projects. Funeral service: 1 p.m. EDT Saturday, July 10, 2010 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Jack Holycross; Burial: Thomas Cemetery in Newport, Indiana; Visitation: Saturday, July 10, 2010 from 11 a.m. EDT until time of services at the funeral home.
