Bill G. Edwards, 86, of Danville and formerly of Bismarck passed away at 5:00 a.m. on Saturday April 18, 2015. He was born the son of Paul and Nellie Edwards nee Makemson Danville, Illinois on November 5, 1928. He married Vivian McKinney of West Salem, Illinois on July 18, 1948 at Farmers Chapel in Danville. She precedes him in death having passed in 2008. Bill is survived by one son Robert (Cindy) Edwards of Danville, two daughters Katherine (Rick) Youmans of Mooresville, IN, and Mert (Dick) Reed of Danville; five grandchildren Chad (Lori) Edwards of St. Charles,Ill., Todd (Jessica) Edwards of Camby, IN, Darren (Lhonda) Edwards of Villa Rica, GA, Scott (Abby) Youmans of Mooresville, IN, and Becky (Steve) Perry of Mooresville, IN; 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Nellie Edwards, his wife Vivian Edwards and one sister Betty Lewis of Danville. Bill was a carpenter and farmer. He enjoyed horses, gospel music, and farming. He was also an avid sports fan. Bill was a lifetime member of Farmers Chapel, a charter member of the Bismarck Fire District and also served on the Ambulance Board in Bismarck. Bill and his wife Vivan enjoyed 60 years of marriage and family life together. A celebration of life will be held for Bill Edwards on Tuesday April 21, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville at 10:00 a.m. Jan Reeder will officiate with burial to follow at Walnut Corner Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday April 20, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Farmer's Chapel Church, Walnut Corner Cemetery, or any charity of the donors choice.
