William Bill Charles Chrisman, 56, of Danville, passed away at 6:20 p.m. Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Bill was born on January 13, 1952 in Richmond, Indiana, the son of Donald L and Ann M. (Long) Chrisman. He married Gail Hatton on December 10, 1982 in Stateline, Indiana. She survives. He is also survived by his one son-Chuck (Dana) Chrisman of Danville; one daughter- Nikki (Danny) Chrisman-Watson of Danville; mother- Ann Chrisman Parson of Anderson, Indiana; one brother- Patrick L. (Linda) Chrisman of Covington, Indiana; one sister- Peggy (Doug) Irish of Newark, Delaware; six grandchildren- Brittany Sprague-Chrisman, Brayden Chrisman, Brooke Chrisman, Tyler Chrisman, Hailey Watson and Abigail Watson all of Danville; two nieces and three nephews. He was preceded in death by father-Donald L. Chrisman in 1974. Bill attended Fountain Central High School. After high school he joined the United States Army and served from 1969 to 1971. During that time he was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War. He worked at MSI Foods for the last 10 years as a driver and also in the warehouse. Prior to working at MSI, he worked at Chuckles for 17 years. He was baptized at the Hillsboro Methodist Church. Bill enjoyed purchasing houses and turning them into rental property. He also enjoyed working, riding his Harley, listening to Willie Nelson and spending time with his friends. He loved to spend his time with his grandchildren and family. He was a friend to so many and was always helping people. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him. A Celebration of the Life of William Bill Charles Chrisman will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, with Chaplain Mak officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Danville National Cemetery on Thursday following the service. Full military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #210. Memorials may be made to Carle Hospice in Bills name.
