Beverly Walter

Beverly Walter, age 77, of Danville, died at 3:25 pm on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was born on October 17, 1929 in Evansville, IN the daughter of Clyde and Stella Mae (Griffin) Hill. She married William Walter on April 12, 1952 in Danville. He survives. Beverly is also survived by one son: Matthew K. Walter of Danville; one brother: David Owen (Jerri) Hill of Quakertown, PA.; one step brother: Don (Iona) Miller of Lake City, FL.; one granddaughter: Ashley D. Walter of Lafayette, IN.; one brother in law: Edward E. Walter of Sarasota, FL.; two sisters in law: Dona Walter and Mary Beth Walter both of Sarasota, FL; a aunt: Irene Long of Sarasota, FL.; two special friends: Joyce Keener of Danville and Charlotte Walter of Covington, IN; and many other friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother: Ronald Hill. Beverly worked as a Registered Nurse for various doctors in the area and also at Lakeview Hospital. She enjoyed classical music and traveling with her husband and granddaughter. Beverly was a member of the St. James Methodist Church and the Lakeview Alumni Nursing Association. A tribute to the Life of Beverly Walter will be held at a later date at Danville National Cemetery. Sunsets Community and Life Tribute Center of Danville are handling arrangements.
