Beverly Sue Nixon Martin Maiden, 68, of Danville, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, April 23, 2011, at 5:20pm at Provena USMC, Danville. She was born in Danville, IL, on November 7, 1942, to Wilbur Jr and Dorothy E. {Hicks} Nixon. She was married to Thomas E. Martin who passed this life on February 22, 1991. From that marriage came three beautiful daughters: Thomasa E., Theresa E., and Tina E. (Jeff Rosner) Martin. She has two grandsons: Thomas B. Martin & Ty A. Rosner; four granddaughters: Erica C. (Kelly) McDaniel, Jade A. (Daniel) Shepherd, Anjel E. & Shayla G. Rosner. Two great-granddaughters: Olivia J. Shepherd & Aubrey L. McDaniel and one due in September. Bev later married Ronald David Maiden on November 10, 2007. He survives along with all her children, grandchildren, and one step-son, Jimmy Maiden of Rockford, MI. Bev has four sisters: Judy (Joe) Lord, Phyllis (Richard) Snook, Gloria (Joe) Barrett, & Tina (Lester Lowe) Nixon; four brothers: Steve (Maggie) Nixon, Ron (Linda) Nixon, Jeff Nixon, & Dave Nixon; several nieces & nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by: her parents; a nephew, Brandon C. Nixon; and a great-nephew, Dustin W. Pruitt. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Even her two Alaskan malamute dogs: Molly & Meiko. Bev believed in her Lord, Jesus Christ, loved her Christian music, her angel collection, baking and cooking. But most of all, she loved her children, grandchildren, husband, family, and friends. We all love and miss you so much. There will never be a day that goes by that we wont think about you. A celebration of Bevs life will be 3:00pm, Friday, April 29, 2011, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, A Life Celebration Home, Westville, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held from 1pm to 3pm prior to her service. She will be laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Bevs name to Vermilion County Animal Shelter.
