Beverly Nelson

Beverly J. Nelson, 83, of Oakwood, Illinois passed away on August 17, 2010 at Danville Care Center. Beverly was born April 18, 1927 in Fithian, Illinois daughter of Ralph and Sylvia (Maxwell) McMorris. She married Lloyd Dale Nelson on April 18, 1951 in Danville. Survivors include daughter: Debra (Bryan) Trosper of Oakwood; sister: Dorothy Hughes of Danville; sister-in-law: Iva (Myron) Bartell of Rockford, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son David, and two brothers Gene and Gerald McMorris. Beverly attended Oakwood Schools and was a loving and dedicated homemaker. She was a member of Fithian United Methodist Church for many years and enjoyed her animals, cooking, reading, canning, but most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family. A Celebration of Beverlys Life will be held at 10:00 am, Friday August 20, 2010 at Sunsets Oakwood Chapel, a Life Celebration Home with Rev. James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Stearns Cemetery.
