Beverly Louise Zorns

Danville - Beverly Louise (Cunningham) Zorns, 87, of Danville, passed away at Hawthorne Inn of Danville on June 9, 2019. Beverly was born December 2, 1931, in Danville, IL to Robert H. and Helen E. Cunningham.

Beverly grew up in Danville/Bismarck area and graduated from Bismarck High School in 1950. Soon after graduation, she began work at R&S Printing. She was also an Avon dealer and volunteered for the Red Cross.

On January 27, 1951, she married the love of her life, James Milton Zorns. Together they built a home of generosity and love. He preceded her in death in July 2017.

Beverly and Jim started Lakeview Motor Home and Trailer sales in 1969 in the lower lot of their residence. In 1972, the family business was moved to North of Danville on Route 1 where they served the community for 45 years.

Beverly enjoyed playing cards and working in the yard creating beautiful flower gardens. However, her greatest joy was showing hospitality to her family and friends and supporting them in every way possible. Her favorite vacations were on the houseboat in Kentucky. She and Jim loved spending the winter in the Florida Keys where she enjoyed snorkeling and finding shells with her friends.

Beverly is survived by her children Kenny (Sandy) Zorns Danville, IL; Janet (Phil) Starr Bismarck, IL; Cindy Cummings of Springfield, IL and Marianne (Tommy) Weaver of Long Beach, MS; her sister Catherine Johnson of Danville, IL; grandchildren Sammie Starr Greenville, NC; Jacob (Johanna) Starr Bismarck, IL and Adam (Traca) Zorns Danville, IL; three great-grandchildren Jackson Zorns, Ezra and Levi Starr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; James Zorns and her sister Shirley Gustafson.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 7:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019, from 4:00 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
