Beverly Lou Hacquet, 90, of Westville, passed away at 8:19am, Friday, June 3, 2016, at North Logan Health Care, Danville. She was born on April 6, 1926, in Hawbuck, IL, the daughter of Roland and Mary {Pridemore} Atwood. She was united in marriage to John Hacquet on November 27, 1946, in Henderson, KY, until his passing on July 24, 2010. Those who will miss her include: her sons, Robert (Laura) Hacquet of Covington, IN, Rodney "Dode" Hacquet of Dana, IN, and John (Julia) Hacquet of Tilton; her grandchildren, Alicia (Roger) Deatherage, Rob (Sondra) Hacquet, Lindsey Claypool, Jeremy Hacquet, Johnny Hacquet, Danielle Wagoner, and Randall Wagoner; her eight great grandchildren; her one great-great grandchild; her brother, Rollie (Judy) Atwood of Westville, her sisters, Gail Doggett and Linda Crowe, both of Westville; her sister-in-law, Annabelle Atwood of Westville; and her many nieces, nephews, and extended family, as well as, several friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her daughter, Robbie Beth; her brothers, Owen Atwood and Lance Atwood; her brothers-in-law, Joe Doggett and Richard Crowe; and her grandchildren's mother, Donna Gay. Beverly had worked at Davies, TeePak, General Electric, as a school bus driver and then at General Motors Tilton Foundry where she retired after 16 years. She enjoyed playing Bingo & Euchre and listening to music. She never left anyone hungry because she was an excellent cook and could feed an "army". Her grandson, Johnny, devoted his life to taking care of her and did not leave her side. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A Memorial Visitation will be held to celebrate Beverly's life 2:00pm to 4:00pm, Sunday, June 5, 2016, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S State St, Westville. As were her wishes, she will be cremated and later buried at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to donor's choice of charity.
