FISHER - Beverly Nadine Lehman, 85, of Fisher passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Heartland Health of Champaign. Born August 13, 1930 in Canton, Illinois, she was the daughter of Harvey and Mildred (Hancock) Spiva. She married the love of her life, Donald Lehman, on July 30, 1950 in Canton. Bev was a cook in the cafeteria at Fisher Grade School for many years. She then worked as a Chiropractic Assistant in Rantoul before retiring. After retiring, she enjoyed spending winters in Florida. Bev and her husband were members of First Methodist Church in Fisher, and Bev was a member of the church women's group. She enjoyed camping, swimming, flower gardening, sewing, garage saling, riding her bike, and travelling, especially the trips the family took to Hawaii, Germany and England. Bev was very proud of the 70 year friendship she had formed with her pen-pal, Ida Plinston from England. Bev is survived by her husband of 65 years, Don Lehman of Fisher; a daughter, Sandy Dorsey-Marrone of Urbana; a son, Chris Lehman of Champaign; four grandchildren, Hayli (Kale) Peterson of Henderson, NV, Luke (Andrea) Dorsey of Forsyth, IL, Molly Marrone-Denison of New York City, NY, and Marissa (Adam) Fichter of Clear Lake, IA; four great grandchildren, Reagen Thompson, Corridon and Kellan Peterson of Henderson, NV, and Jonathon Dorsey of Forsyth; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harvey Spiva Jr., and Jack Spiva; and a sister in infancy. A service to celebrate Bev's life will be held at 3 pm Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the First Methodist Church in Fisher, with Pastor Fred Sistler officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. She will be laid to rest in Willowbrook Cemetery, Fisher. Memorials may be made in her name to a charity of the donor's choice.
