Beverly June Garrard

Beverly June (Chezem) Garrard August 30, 1933 - March 31, 2023 89 Years Old Beverly J. "Bev" Garrard, 89, of Ridge Farm, passed away at 4:00am, Friday, March 31, 2023 at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living in Chrisman surrounded by her family. She was born on August 30, 1933, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Paul & Grace (Kiger) Chezem. She was a 1951 graduate of Danville High School. She was united in marriage to Harold Garrard on October 31, 1952. He preceded her in death on Nov. 27, 2000. Beverly will be dearly missed by her children, Cindy (Butch) Scheppler of Alba, TX; Harold "Butch" (Rhonda) Garrard of Leesburg, FL & Lori (Stan) Hutt of Georgetown, IL; her grandchildren, Tricia (Josh) Northam, Michael Collom, Mandy Garrard & Justin (Abbey) Garrard & her great-grandchildren, Halli Collom, Avery Northam & Alexandra "Alex" Northam & numerous bonus grandchildren; her sister Barbara Lientz, brother Ernie Chezem and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold, her sister Betty & her brothers Paul, Dale & Jerry. Bev worked as a "candy striper" at St. Elizabeth hospital as a young girl, worked for Illinois Bell & G.E. & was the bookkeeper for their business Garrards Body Shop and was a cook for the Ridge Farm School district for 20 years before her retirement. She also worked at Rustic Charm, her daughter, Loris shop for several years. Bev enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, her flowers, mowing her grass & spending time with her family. She was known as "Grandma Bev" by all who knew her and she will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Crown Hill Cemetery, Ridge Farm, IL
