Beverly Jean Hobbs

Beverly Jean Hobbs, 90, of Danville passed away on Monday January 13, 2020. She was born in Danville on April 18, 1929 the daughter of Dale and Alice Strader.

Beverly is survived by her children, Connie Louise Miller, Gloria Jean (Chip) Browning, Diana Len Burress, James Mickey (Pris) Hobbs, Robin Dale (Tabatha) Hobbs; grandchildren, Angela Jean Larsen, Richard Lane Miller II, Johnny "Tim" Browning, Mellissa Browning, Heather Ann Burbank, Charles "Little Chip" Browning, Micki Ann Bush, Eric Hobbs, Jesse Techtow, Joshua Buoress and 18 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband James Sylvester Hobbs; parents, Dale and Alice Strader; brothers, Dale Eugene Strader, Kenneth Lee Strader, Ronald Eugene Strader; granddaughter, Heather Burbank and great-grandson, Ezekiel Larson.

Beverly was a beloved wife of James, mother grandmother and great-grandmother. She loves decorating, her home was very special with lovely things. Her hobby was gardening, and she loved roses and flowers of all varieties. Beverly retired from The Fashion, a very special place to shop for ladies and childrens wear. While at The Fashion she was the window decorator or dresser as well as head sales lady, requested by many of the customers for her fashion sense.

Beverly was also an excellent cook and loved trying new soup recipes. Her love language was gifting. She always brought a new love gift upon her arrival to visit. She loved her cats and dogs who were her companions in later years. Muffy, her small poodle (poodie) as well as Rosie and Callie her house cats. Her winter pass time includes feeding the birds and watching the old westerns on tv, Marshal Dillon and Kitty.

Bev continued to be a fashion plate to the end. Always beautifully dressed. She is missed by all who love her.

A celebration of Beverlys life will take place at 11am on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday from 9am to 11am. Burial will be as Sunset Memorial Park.
