Beverly J Claywell

Beverly J. Claywell, 81, of Danville, passed away at 7:38pm, Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at her home. She was born on January 9, 1930, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Robert N. and Mary {Gay} Collins. She was united in marriage to Donald L. Claywell on November 27, 1947 in Danville, IL, and after 64 years of marriage, he will miss her dearly. Others who will miss her include: her sons, Donald Ray Claywell and Gary Wayne Claywell, both of Danville; her brother, Gordon (Diane) Collins of Olney, IL; her sister, Norma Koss of Danville; her granddaughters, Cindy (Jake) Nelson of Danville & Melissa K. Crain of Westville; her great grandchildren, Drake & Draycee Nelson, Chance A. & Wyatt Crain, and Owen Tiner. Her parents and her brother, Bob Collins, preceded Beverly in death. Beverly worked at the former Al's IGA now Ken's IGA in Westville for 40 years. She was a wonderful homemaker whose whole life revolved around her family and grandchildren. She was a great cook who loved to watch soap operas and her favorite TV show, "Survivor". A Celebration of Beverly's life will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown, with Pastor Roger Mertens officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery.
