Beverly Grace Jenkins

Beverly Grace Jenkins, 81, of Georgetown, passed away at 4:56pm, Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. She was born on November 4, 1933, in Georgetown the daughter of Ernest and Marie {Elliot} Cope, both deceased. She was first married to Harold Dieu in 1951 for 18 years. She was later wed to Alexander W. Jenkins on September 28, 1973, until his passing. Beverly enjoyed going fishing, mushroom hunting, & camping. Beverly loved babysitting and enjoyed playing cards with kids & grandkids. Beverly leaves behind: her children, Robert (Donna) Dieu of Georgetown, Billy Dieu of Georgetown, & Linda (Donald) Clarey of Georgetown; her step-children, Wayne (Dawn) Jenkins of Westville, Don (Donna) Jenkins of Danville, Ben (Susie) Jenkins of Danville, Tim (Lisa) Jenkins of Westville, & Jesse (Dena) Jenkins of Westville; her 33 grandchildren; her 44 great grandchildren; her brother, Donald (Linda) Cope of Westville; and her sisters, Marilyn Hawkins of Danville & Catherine Johnson of Pekin. She will also be missed by her special nephew, Raymond Dieu and her loving friend, Darrell Brooks. A special "Thank You" from the family to Wanda's Kitchen, especially Patty Lumsargis & Demitri, for taking Beverly a hot meal every day. She was preceded in death by: her son, Danny Dieu; her grandson, Tommy Allhands; her step-daughter, Cindy Holloman; her six sisters; and three brothers. A celebration of Beverly's life will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, September 4, 2015, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Friday prior to her service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Sandusky Cemetery, Westville.
