Beverly Barrett

Beverly Barrett 73, of Champaign, IL, passed away on December 11, 2024, in Champaign, IL. She was born on March 11, 1951, in Wichita, Kansas. 

She is survived by her husband; Robert Barrett, siblings; Keith Hill (Ruth), Barbara Hebblethwaite (Charles), Carolyn Vogel (Ken), children; Lisa Taylor, Jonathan Barrett (Jennifer), grandchildren; Colby Taylor, Javon Taylor, Malayla Taylor and Lucas Barrett.

Beverly worked as an office manager at Carrie Busey Elementary School, retiring after 25 years of employment. She enjoyed road trips to visit family throughout the country, she loved writing poetry, doing puzzles, playing board games and reading. Beverly was a faithful member of the First Christian Church where she taught Sunday School and enjoyed time spent with her church family. She will be remembered for her hugs and love of being “silly”.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; Raymond and Helen Hill and sister, Maryella Hill. Beverly will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made in her name to the First Christian Church of Champaign.

Visitation will be held on Thursday December 19, 2024, at First Christian Church of Champaign 3601 S. Staley Rd. Champaign, IL. 61822 from 11am-1pm with a service to follow at 1pm.
