Beverley J. White

Beverley J. White (nee France), 84, of Covington, IN, passed away at 5:02pm on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, surrounded by her family at The Waters of Covington. She was born in Catlin, Illinois, on March 29, 1934, the daughter of Chester Solomon Lee and Ina Mae {Butts} France. She was united in marriage to Floyd J. White at the Catlin Church of Christ on August 22, 1952. He survives. She is also survived by: her son, Daniel (Camilla) White of Huntsville, AL; her daughter, Pamela (Tim Field) Messer-Field of Indianapolis, IN; her brother, Michael (Gilda) France of Covington, IN; her grandchildren, Andrew White of Brownsburg, IN, Ryan Messer of Indianapolis, IN, Alexandria (James) Brisco of Trussville, AL, and Samantha (Micah) Chappell of Huntsville, AL; and her great grandchildren, Sophia & Graham Brisco. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chet & Ina. Beverley graduated from Catlin High School, Class of 1952, and then attended Lincoln Christian College. She worked as an LPN for 20 years in Danville and Covington. She later received her Real Estate Broker's License and owned Four Seasons Realty in Covington, retiring in 2001. She was a member of the Covington First Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday School, was a Director of VBS, and was involved in all of the ladies' activities at the church. Beverley also served in different capacities at Hanging Rock Christian Assembly. Above all, Beverley was a servant to God. She loved and supported her family and clearly cherished her grandchildren. A Celebration of Beverley's life will be held at 3:00pm(EST), Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Sunset's Covington Chapel, 420 3rd Street, Covington, IN, with Mike Harshman officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm until 3:00pm(EST) prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park, Danville, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Beverley's name to either the Covington First Church of Christ, the Scleroderma Foundation, the Friendship Circle Center Covington, or to Hanging Rock Christian Assembly, West Lebanon, IN.
