Beulah Thomas

Beulah Thomas, 96, of Danville, passed away at 11:30pm, Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living, Chrisman. She was born on August 5, 1922, in Marshall, IL, the daughter of Joseph and Ruth Ann {Kennedy} Lewsader, both deceased. She was married to Lester Thomas on April 9, 1941, until his passing on November 25, 2002.

Beulah is survived by her daughters, Ruth Ann (Richard) Jones and Freda (Bobby) Vandivier; her grandchildren, Bobby (Kara) Vandivier Jr., Carole (Scott) Chalkus, Denny (Mariann) Vandivier, Richard (Jeanne) Jones, & Janet (Bob) Shaffer; her four great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Beulah worked for 33 years for UO Colson where she started sewing and then moved to calendars. She enjoyed sewing crafts, traveling, and camping. She was member of East Park Church of Christ. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of Beulahs life will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, April 13, 2019, at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Georgetown, located at 200 E West St. Visitation will be held 11:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday prior to her service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Little Grove Cemetery in Paris, IL. Memorial donations may be given in her name to donors choice of charity.
