Betty J. Sumner, 69, of Danville went home to be with the Lord at 12:59 P.M. November 21, 2006. Betty was born January 29, 1937, in Eugene, IN to Theodore R. Ted and Grace A. (Wilson) Perry. Betty married Paul A. Sumner on October 27, 1974 in Cayuga, IN, he survives. Also surviving: two daughters: Brenda D. Musson of Danville, Joyce E. Yow of Westville, IL; four grandchildren: John A. Tony Loden of Cayuga, IN, Paula J. Yow of Westville, IL, Glen A. Musson with the U.S. Navy in San Diego, CA, and Julie A. Musson of Wayne, Michigan; one great grandchild, Hunter M. Yow of Westville; two step-children: James P. Sumner of Danville, David L. (Brenda) Sumner of Tilton, four step grandchildren: Shannon and Joe Sumner of Danville, Zachary Sumner and Kyle Hathaway of Tilton; two step great grandchildren: Logan and Paige Eastwood of Danville; three sisters: Mary L. Hawn of Eugene, IN, Nancy K. Perry of Newport, IN, and Anna M. (Mike) Partridge of Evansville, IN. Also surviving are aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Betty was preceded in death by two brothers: Marion Dick Perry and Robert E. Perry. Both sets of grandparents and a very special Aunt: Muriel Muller Byrd. Betty was employed thirty years with Heatcraft where she retired in 1996 due to emphysema. Bettys hobbies included: reading and studying her Bible, Playing euchre, doing crossword puzzles and maintaining her flower/rock gardens. She especially loved and enjoyed her family and her little Shih-Tzu Mandy. She was a devoted wife and loved her husband very much.
