Betty Sue Lyons, 72, of Alvin, passed away at 1:56 p.m. on Friday December 7,2007 at Carle Foundation Hospital. She was born on February 14, 1935 in Banbridge, Kentucky, the daughter of Everett and Vinnie Keller Alexander. On November 27, 1954 she married Rhea Lyons in Lewisburg, Kentucky. She is survived by her husband Rhea, son Jim (Carolyn) Lyons of Danville; grandchildren Sarah Lyons and Brad Lyons both of Danville; sisters Othello Reynolds of Danville, Mary Jean Waldrop of Wichita, Kansas and Rebecca (Kenny) Lyons of Danville; also many nieces and nephews and a very special friend Georgia Allison. She was preceded in death by her parents. Betty was a member of the Alvin Christian Church, Senior Bunco Club and former member of the Kickapoo Archery Club. She enjoyed ceramics and any type of needleworking. Her family was her greatest joy and she will be dearly missed but always remembered in their hearts. A celebration of Bettys life will held on Monday December 10th at 10:00am at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Officiating will be Pastor Tim Cary. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1-4:00pm at the funeral home. Entombment Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum and will be private.
