Betty Ruth Crawford

Betty Ruth Crawford, 87, of Danville passed away at 2:02 a.m. on Friday May 23, 2008 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. Betty was born February 20, 1921 in Cayuga, Indiana the daughter of Jacob and Jessie R. Foster Reed. On October 2, 1938, she married Donald W. Crawford in Veedersburg, Indiana. He preceded her on November 7, 2005. Betty was the loving mother of Janice K. (Charles) Miller of Metamora, IL, and Patsy A. (Lynn) Sparks of Danville.; cherished grandmother of Gregory (Kathy) Miller, Jeffery (Laurie) Sparks, Susan (Jeffrey) Young, Thomas (Jennifer) Miller, and Jerome (Nicole) Sparks; loving great grandmother of seven great grandsons and three great granddaughters. Her parents, husband, and two brothers preceded her. Betty was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, who enjoyed hosting her grandchildren for summer visits. In later years, she enjoyed watching the grandchildren become loving parents to her great grandchildren. Betty loved flower gardening and collecting antiques. Although Betty outlived many of her friends, she remained close to her family in her last years. Services and entombment will be private per the familys wishes.
