Betty Ross Bonebrake-Macklin, 90, of Georgetown, passed away at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center. Betty was born on November 29, 1919, in Greenhill, Indiana, the daughter of Silas and Iva (Thornton) Yeager. She spent several years with her life partner- Robert Macklin. He preceded her in death in June 3, 1974. She is survived by a daughter- Judy (J.R.) Stonebraker of Danville; son- Jim (Becky) Bonebrake of Westville; five grandchildren- Robert (Kathy) Peplow of Stewart, Florida, Deann (Tim Bright) Peplow of Tilton, Jim (Connie) Bonebrake Jr. of Sullivan, Indiana, Dawn (Phil) Keathley of Hobe Sound, Florida and David (Risa) Bonebrake of El Paso, Texas; 12 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, life partner- Bob Macklin, and three grandsons- Mike Laker, Jim Peplow and John Bonebrake. Betty worked for over 50 years as a hairdresser. She owned her own shop for several years and retired in 2004 from Hair Designers. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and watching T.V. A Memorial Service for Betty Ross Bonebrake-Macklin will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 28, 2009 at Faith Church of Christ 3601 Quaker Lane Danville, Illinois 61832, with Pastor Bill Carpenter officiating. Per Bettys wishes she will be cremated. Following cremation she will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park.
