Betty Rose Wasson

Danville- Betty Rose Wasson, 86, of Danville passed away at 6:42 pm on July 30, 2016 at Presence Covenant Medical Center in Urbana, IL. Betty was born on June 26, 1930 the daughter of Raymond H. and Estella M (Palmer) Bryant in State Line, IN. She married Jimmie H. Wasson on July 24, 1955 in Danville, IL. Survivors include her husband; Jimmie, one son; Walter (Sandra) Johnson of Lafayette, IN, one daughter; Debra Rietberg of Danville, IL, three brothers; Milton Bryant of Danville, IL, Terry (Edna) Bryant of Westville, IL, James (Kelly) Bryant of Westville, IL, one sister; Rosalie Hardy of Tilton, IL, one brother-in-law; Eldon Collins of Westville, IL as well as seven grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother; Glen Bryant, and two sisters; Shirley Collins and Connie Conner. Betty worked outside the home at a variety of printing companies as a binder. She was employed at Eureka Printing, Interstate Printing, Illinois Printing and lastly R&S Printing. Betty loved dancing with her husband; Jimmie, as well as working crossword puzzles, and taking care of her family. She would always make sure to inquire "Did you get enough to eat?" A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday August 5, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Officiating will be Matt Harmless. Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be held Thursday August 4, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
