Betty Michael

Betty Lorine Michael of Urbana, formerly of Hemet, and Vista, California, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2008 at 3:50am at the Carle Arbors Nursing Home in Savoy, Ill. She was born in Cherry Point, Ill., the daughter of Edgar and Lydia Hollingsworth-Pierson. Surviving is a son, Larry Wayne Michael of Port St. Lucie, FL., two daughters, Carolyn Sue Nichols of Urbana, IL, and Kimberly Ann Conley of Champaign, IL. Also surviving Betty are her eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two brothers, Melvin Pierson of Starkville, MS., Norman Pierson of Danville, her two sisters, Delores Collard of Danville, and Marilyn Heidrick, also of Danville. Her parents, three brothers, one half brother, and one sister precede Betty in death. Betty worked in the Health Care Profession as a nurse, a certified Phlebotomist, and I.V. Technician for over thirty years, receiving several awards and certificates of achievement. Her love for people and her profession was only surpassed by her love for God, her children, and family.
