Betty Lou Reffett, 85, of Danville, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013 at Carle Hospital in Champaign. She was born July 29, 1927 in Indianapolis, IN, to William I. and Katie M. (Baker) Walls. Betty married Charles "Snip" Reffett on March 2, 1946 in Georgetown. He preceded her in death in December of 1963. Betty graduated from Georgetown High School. She was a member of South Side Church of Christ in Danville. She retired from Illinois Bell Telephone after more than 20 years as an operator. She is survived by two sons, Raymond (Peggy) Reffett and Randy (Kay) Reffett of Texas; four granddaughters, Michelle (Chris) Miller, Teresa (Mike) Sims, Paula (Dustin) West and Angela (Jason) West; one grandson, Aaron Reffett; fourteen great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins and many good friends. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, her parents; two brothers, one sister, and one daughter, Lori Ann. A celebration of Betty's life will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 22, 2013 at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown with Pastor Kevin Ziegler officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 21, 2013 and one hour prior to the service on Friday, all at the funeral home. Betty will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Betty's name to Easter Seals.
