Betty Lee Drown

Betty Lee Drown, age 78 of Westville, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 1:25 PM at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was born June 18, 1937 in Muncie, IN the daughter of George W. House and Margaret Lucas. Betty will be dearly missed by her children, Tina (Bill) Guge of Westville, Terrina (Dennis) Powell of Nokomis, FL, Larry Drown of Ocala, FL, Tim (Brenda) Drown of Nokomis, FL, John (Lora) Drown of Punta Gorda, FL, Tonja (David) Upham of Ocala, FL, and Jason (Elizabeth) Drown of White Bluff, TN; brother, Ralph House of Williamsburg, VA; sisters, Sally (Adam) Gerle of Solavista, FL, Diane (Larry) Norris of Bluffton, IN, and Bobbie Stevens of Ft. Wayne, IN; nephew Danny (Lynne) Cicatko of Huntington, IN; and many other close friends, family, and relatives. Betty was blessed with a wealth of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Ronny Drown, sister, Jayne Cicatko, and grandson, Timmy Drown, Jr. Betty liked to play BINGO and be social with her friends but she enjoyed nothing more than her family. She was very proud of the large and loving family that surrounded her. Betty kept in touch with all of her family and remained a big part of their lives no matter the miles. She dedicated her life to her kids and grandkids and all that mattered was their happiness. Betty would drop everything and do whatever they needed for them. She had such a big heart. A void will be left in the lives of all she knew and she will be missed by many. A Celebration of Betty's Life will be held Friday, December 4, 2015 at 2:00 PM at The New Fire Station, 403 S. High Street, in Fairmount. Memorial donations can be made to the Wells Company Food and Clothing Bank in Bluffton, IN where Betty dedicated a lot of her time to helping others. Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel has assisted the family with carrying out Betty's final wishes.
