Betty L. Middleton

Danville - Betty L. (Trees) Middleton passed away at 8:05 AM on Tuesday April 1, 2014 at The Waters of Covington in Covington, Indiana. She was the daughter of Leal G. and Lucille E. Freeman Trees. Betty was born on December 16th 1925 in Chrisman, Illinois. She married Thomas F. Middleton on June 1st 1946 in Danville, Illinois. They had three children, Larry Middleton of Danville, Janice (David) Armpriester of Saylorsburg, PA and Patti (Wayne) Walker of Holder, Illinois. She also had six grandchildren, Michael A. Middleton Sr., Teresa A. Asbury, David Acton, Stacey Leon, Jason Walker, and Jennifer Walker. She also had nine great grandchildren, Melanie Middleton, Joshua Middleton, Hailey Middleton, Michael Middleton Jr., Tyler Asbury, Keegan Asbury, Calvin Leon, Grace Leon, and Ellie Leon. She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, three brothers, Leland Trees, Keith Trees and Billy Dean Trees, one sister, Mary Ann Walker, and a grandson, Jason Walker. She was employed by General Electric for 22 years, retiring in 1976. She was a faithful member of the First Assembly of God and then later The Pleasant Grove Church. Her many hobbies included gardening, sewing, crocheting, and taking care of her many flowers. But the most important part of her life was her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She prayed for each and every one of them daily. A service to celebrate the life of Betty L Middleton will be held at 2 PM on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Pastor Doug McCord will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 1-2 PM on Monday, April 7, 2014 also at Sunset in Danville.
