Cayuga, Ind. - Betty L. Lee, 86, of Cayuga, passed away at 4:35 a.m. EDT Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Clinton Gardens in Clinton, Indiana.

She was born November 7, 1934 in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of the late Ernest Vernon Owen and Etta Eunice (Ralls) Hancock.

She married Harry D. Lee on July 7, 1951 in Danville, Illinois. He survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Debra Head of Panama City, Florida and Col. Lori (Tony Phelps) Lee of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two sons, Dr. David Gene (Delana) Lee of Marietta, Georgia and Gerry (Melissa) Lee of Cayuga, Indiana; thirteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren, and two sisters, Edna Ardire of Williamsport, Indiana and Dianna (Richard) Jumps of Perrysville, Indiana.

Betty was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Lariena Lee; two sisters and two brothers.

Betty was a homemaker. She formerly worked in the Danville District 118 food service department for fifteen years. Betty enjoyed mushrooming, sewing, all sports, and watching Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos before his retirement from football. Betty was a big supporter of the North Vermillion High School athletics program.

A private Graveside service and inurnment of cremains was held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Danville, Illinois. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana assisted the family with arrangements.
