Betty Kilgore, 82, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at her home in Danville, IL. She was born on May 1, 1938 the daughter Harry Knight and Margaret (Larrison) Knight in Terre Haute, IN. She married Lee Kilgore on December 17, 1977. He survives.

Also surviving includes two sons, Jimmy (Moxi) Allen of Austin, Tx, Eric (Cathy) Childers of Danville, IL; three daughters, Betty Seimer of Danville, IL, Toni (Robert) Hendrix of Oakwood, IL, and Brandi Lathrop of West Lebanon; one brother, Garland (Ellen) Knight of Terre Haute, IN; one sister, Maxine (Tom) Brooks of Terre Haute; 10 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Charles "Chuck" Childers; 4 brothers; and 6 sisters.

Betty worked at Tee-Pak for 35 years and was a member of the Second Church of Christ for many years. She loved to sing, work on word puzzles, play solitaire on her iPad, and watch Hallmark and Westerns. Most of all Betty loved spending time with her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Officiating will be Pastor Kiley Garrison. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
