Betty J. Jolley, 79, of Danville, passed away at 6:10 a.m. Sunday, August 5, 2007 at Provena Covenant Medical Center in Urbana, IL. She was born June 19, 1928 in Danville, the daughter of Frank M. and Edna E. (Burroughs) Gray. Betty married Harlan E. Jolley on December 30, 1961 in Danville. He preceded her in death on April 17, 2000. Survivors include one son, Gary (Sherry) Jolley of Danville, three grandchildren, Robbie, Ryan, and Autumn Grace Jolley, all of Danville, two great-grandchildren, Kelsie Lynn and Carrie Marie Jolley, and one sister, Sharon (Jerry) Neeley of Danville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harlan, two brothers, Robert and Russell Gray, and one granddaughter, Judy Lynn Jolley. Betty was a home maker. She attended Grape Creek Baptist church. She enjoyed playing cards and dancing. Betty treasured spending time with her family. Her goal in life was to make people laugh and leave a smile on their face. A celebration of life for Betty J. Jolley will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, with Pastor David Leary officiating. Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
