Betty Jean Granny Bann, age 75, of Danville, passed away at 3:43 pm on Friday, June 27, 2008 at her home. She was born April 14, 1933 in Danville the daughter of Floyd and Ethel (Nelson) DeMoss. She married Raymond Bann and he preceded her in death in 1982. Betty is survived by two daughters: Sandra (Curt) Wasson of Danville, Amber (Brian) Tutwiler of Danville; one son: Donald Barrett; two sisters: Dorothy (Glen) Fisher of Iowa, Imogene Degge of Colorado; five grandchildren: Kristina (Christopher) Hance of Danville, Cassandra (Gary) Cornell of Covington, IN, Kayla (Joe) Pollard of Danville, Cierra Wasson of Rossville, Adrianna Wasson of Tilton; nine great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a special friend: Paul Sasseen of Cayuga, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant daughter, one brother: Otto Bud DeMoss, and two sisters: Francis Waddell and Virginia Hale. Betty was a homemaker and she also worked as a waitress. She had fond memories of working at the old truck stop in Oakwood. She liked to spend her free time sewing, crocheting, watching westerns, and listening to music. Betty loved sharing bananas with her great grandchildren and spending time with her family and friends. Betty was a very special and loving Granny that will be greatly and deeply missed by all. Everybody that knew her where blessed to have had her in their lives.
