Betty Jane Schneider

Mahomet, IL- Betty Jane Schneider 80, of Mahomet, IL formerly of Milwaukee, WI, left this life at 10:10 a.m. on Saturday March 30, 2013 at Presence Covenant Medical Center in Urbana, IL. She was born June 16, 1932 in Milwaukee, WI to Richard and Edna Stark Henn. She married William Schneider on Oct. 25, 1952 in Milwaukee, WI. He preceded her in death on Jan. 26, 2003. To this union were born two children; a daughter Debra (Alvin) Leitl of Mahomet, IL and a son William (Diane) Schneider of Verona, WI. ; 6 grandchildren, Matthew (Jen), Kevin (Sara), Kelly (Brian), Scott (Amber), Lyndsey, and Tyler. A beautiful great granddaughter Adalyn . Also surviving is a sister Doris Heikkinen of Arlington, TX, manyl nieces and nephews, and a very dear friend Caroline Jarstad. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers; Melvin, Richard (Shirley), and Russell (Barbara), and 2 sisters Ethel and Inez. Betty retired from Arandell Schmidt Lithograph Company of Menomonee Falls, WI. The positions that she held and treasured most in her life were that of being a beautiful, caring, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was also the dearest of friends to many. She was also known to be a lover of animals, especially the family dogs; Chardie and Izzy and the family cat; Frankie. Above all Betty loved her family unconditionally and showed it in so many ways during her lifetime. As per her wishes Betty was cremated and a Memorial Mass in her memory will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sat. April 13, 2013 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church 3970 N. 92nd St. in Milwaukee. A public time of gathering will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
