Betty J. Lamb Delp

Cayuga, Ind. -- Betty J. Lamb Delp, 87, of Cayuga, passed away at 3:05 p.m. EDT Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born September 27, 1923 in Newport, Indiana, the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Margaret Richardson Kinderman. She first married Virgil L. Lamb. He preceded her in death on May 1, 1975. She later married Donald Delp who passed away at 9:05 a.m. EDT Friday, May 20, 2011. Survivors include one daughter, Brenda(Stan)Smith of Williamsport, Indiana; one son, Randy Lamb of Cayuga, Indiana; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; twin great great granddaughters and one sister, Virginia Baldwin of Lafayette, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her daughter, son, grandson, granddaughter, two sisters and four brothers. Betty formerly worked at Steel Grip in Covington, Indiana, drove a school bus for the North Vermillion School Corporation and worked at the Eugene Township Trustee's office for ten years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, raising flowers, horseback riding and spending time outdoors. Gary Johnson; Burial: Thomas Cemetery in Newport, Indiana; Visitation: Monday, May 23, 2011 from 10 a.m. EDT until time of services at the funeral home.
