Betty J Johnson, 76, of Danville, passed away at 7:50 p.m. on Thursday, November 11, 2004 at Provena U.S.M.C.-Logan Campus in Danville. She was born July 9, 1928 in Fairmount, Illinois, the daughter of Ralph J and Sara Elizabeth (Gebhart) Richter. She married Donald E. "Bo" Johnson on October 26, 1946 in Paris, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 12, 1985. Betty was a 1946 Graduate of Danville High School. She was the former owner and operator of B.J.'s Draperies & Antiques, served as president of the Georgetown Historical Society, Secretary/Treasurer of the Georgetown WWII Memorial, was an active member of P.T.A, 4-H leader, Georgetown Women's Club, Danville Garden Club, and along with her husband, was a former active member of Danville Elks, Lodge #332. She was a member of Georgetown and Ridge Farm Friends Meeting. She enjoyed antiques, golf, sewing, gardening, decorating, card playing, community service, traveling, and was an Illini fan. She is survived by: 1 Son- Donald W (Jane) Johnson of Ft Myers, Florida; 1 Daughter- Janie (Jim) Galyen of Georgetown; 1 Grandson- Daniel (Krista) Galyen of Romeoville, IL and 1 Sister- Barbara Mauck of Fairmount, IL. Her parents, husband, 1 Son- Richard J "Rick" Johnson and 1 Sister- Judith Peevler-Sandlin preceded her in death.
