Betty J. Cheesman

Attica, Ind. - Betty J. Cheesman, 71, of Attica and formerly of Cayuga, passed away at 2:06 p.m. EST Friday, January 3, 2020 at St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital in Williamsport, Indiana.

She was born June 3, 1948 in Williamsport, the daughter of the late Jess and Peggy (Weisheit) Eller.

Betty married Luther Cheesman on June 23, 1970 in Eugene, Indiana. He preceded her in death on June 12, 2003.

Survivors include two daughters: Lisa (Steven) Pugh and Sherrill Smith both of Attica, Indiana; special friend: Steve Pugh of Attica, Indiana; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four sisters: Linda Cheevers of Carmel, Indiana; Patty Eller of Texas; Bonnie Brian of Florida and Sue Tipton of Georgia; brother: Jack Eller of Tennessee, and her fur baby: Dusty.

Betty was preceded in death by her son: Marvin Cheesman and one brother: Larry Eller

Betty formerly worked as a Dietician at the Williamsport Nursing Home. She was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall. Betty enjoyed playing cards, working on puzzles, cooking, listening to music and spending time with her family.

Cremation was accorded with services to be announced at a later date. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana is assisting the family with arrangements.
