Betty Houldridge

Betty Houldridge, 94, of Danville passed away on May 20, 2025 at the Goldwater Care of Danville. She was born December 12, 1930 in Danville to the late Vera and Roscoe McLimans. Growing up, Betty attended Danville High School. She married Ronald Houldridge in the May 1949 in Villa Grove. He preceded her in death.

Betty spent many years working as a transcriptionist at the Danville Polyclinic before her eventual retirement. Faith was important to Betty and she attended Lincoln Methodist Church for many years.

In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by her sons Alan and Michael Houldridge, her grandson Darrell, great-grandson Dakota Houldridge, and brothers Ernie, Frank, and James McLimans. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Brenda Houldridge; grandchildren Jennifer (Scott) Richards and Aurora Houldridge; and great-grandchildren Katana, Chelsea, Aria, and Lewis.

In accordance with Betty’s wishes, cremation will take place. She will be placed to rest next to her husband following in Sunset Memorial Park’s Mausoleum. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, located at 3940 N. Vermilion Street in Danville, IL assisted Betty’s family with arrangements.
