Betty Hawley, 80, passed away at 6:05am, Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. She was born on June 19, 1928, in Seattle, WA, the daughter of Fred and Ellis (Schoolcraft) Hosko. She was wed to Robert Hawley on December 15, 1944, in Seattle, WA, until his passing on March 18, 1997. She is survived by: her daughter, Tracy (Penny) Hawley of Westville; her sons, Larry (Darla Smith) Hawley of St. Bernice, IN, Don Hawley of Arizona, Phil (Polly) Hawley of Westville, & Wendell Hawley of Westville; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Hawley of Westville, Cody (Lora) Hawley of Westville, Ann Meadlo of Florida, & many other grandchildren; her great grandchildren, Wyatt Hawley, Keonna Senter, Phillip Hawley, all of Westville, Tiffany Meadlo, Jamie Meadlo, both of Florida, Natalie Morrison, Hannah Reed, both of Westville, and many other great grandchildren; and her special friend, Sharon Nibbe of Westville. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her grandson, Richard Hawley; a brother; and three sisters. Betty was the manager for Country Air in Westville for many years. She enjoyed fishing, camping, going to rummages, and also enjoyed cooking. She will miss by those who knew her. A celebration of Bettys life will be held at 10:00am, Friday, March 20, 2009, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S State St, Westville. Pastor James Blue will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm, Thursday, March 19, 2009, at the funeral chapel with a Firemans Memorial service to be held at 7pm. As per her wishes, she will be cremated.
