Betty B. Girardier, 73, of Danville, formerly of Hoopeston, passed away at 6:55 p.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2007, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Betty was born May 21, 1933, in Summersville, MO, the daughter of Ray L. and Minnie M. (Hodge) Heiney. She married Carbette Sonny T. Girardier on October 20, 1956 in Holly Springs, MS. He survives. Betty is survived by two sons, Thomas James (Beth) Girardier of Bolingbrook, IL and Timothy Lee (Kathy) Girardier of Ambia, IN; one daughter, Tammara Ann (Shawn) Masters of Decatur, GA; one brother, Ernest (Snooks) Heiney of Golden, CO; one sister, Raepholette (Robert) Nine of Grubville, MO; three grandchildren, Katie Marie Girardier, Jerrette Lee Girardier, and James Thomas Girardier and one special sister-in "law, Maude Heiney of St. Louis, MO. Her parents, two brothers, Theodore and Johnny B. Heiney and two sisters, Pauline Lewis and Connie Girardier preceded her in death. Betty was a lady of many talents and could do anything that she put her mind to. She was an artist as well as a musician. She played the guitar and enjoyed singing. Betty loved to write poetry and had some of her poems published. She also enjoyed making quilts and tapestries. Betty liked to travel and to go fishing. She was a member of New Life Christian Center. Betty touched many lives and will be greatly missed by her friends and family. A celebration of Bettys life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 8, 2007 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Pastor Doug Knapp officiating. Burial will be at Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center and then there will be a visitation from 1-2 p.m. at the Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, Missouri, prior to the service.
