Betty Donovan, 88, of Tilton, died on March 10, 2014 at Presence United Samaritan Medical Center in Danville. She was born on November 15, 1925, the daughter of Ed and Emma (Miller) Tapp in Danville. She was first married to Floyd Ahring, he preceded her in death. She later married Roy Donovan, he also preceded her in death. Betty is survived by her daughter-in-law Linda Ahring of Tilton; her stepdaughter Denise Seymore; two grandchildren, Luke Ahring of Tilton, and Lindsey Ahring of Costa Mesa, California; two step grandsons; cousins, friends and other loved ones. She was preceded in death by her only son George Ahring who was her sunshine, her parents, two sisters and one brother. Betty liked to cook and bake, she liked to make chicken noodles with her granddaughter Lindsey, loved roses, and Betty and her grandson Luke both enjoyed being Chicago Cubs fans. She loved her two grandkids, and she used to sing with her twin sister at the Southside Church of Christ. A celebration of Bettys life will be held at 2 PM at Sunset Memorial Park in the Chapel Mausoleum on Friday March 14, 2014. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville, is in charge of the arrangements. Raymie Gordon will be officiating.
